Hayley

Hayley Joyce, M.S. LPC, is a practicing counselor in Chester County. Hayley is kind, warm, and enthusiastic, bringing effortful presence and compassion to all therapeutic relationships.

Hayley achieved her Master of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling at Chestnut Hill College, with an emphasis on trauma studies. Hayley received her undergraduate degree at Albright College where she achieved her Bachelor of Art in Psychology. Hayley has been trained by psychodynamic professionals who have helped her to approach treatment from multicultural and human-centered perspectives. She has worked to research and develop a trauma-informed treatment program for women with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, seeking treatment at the inpatient level.

 Hayley has four years of experience in community mental health, co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment, community-based integration, and behavioral health support.

 Hayley has sought out and completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Psychological First-Aid (PFA). Hayley is a passionate student of life and is driven by her desire to enhance her skills while expanding her awareness of the human experience.

 Hayley utilizes comprehensive treatment modalities to support person-centered care including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Techniques from holistic psychology and mindfulness-based practices are cornerstones of the treatment that she provides. Hayley’s goal is to meet each client where they are presently and takes an integrative approach to therapy.

 Hayley receives therapeutic treatment herself. Because of this, she recognizes the importance of safety, autonomy, and respect that grows from nurturing the therapeutic relationship. Hayley firmly believes in the power of human connection as the foundation of healing.
